Weather Tough on Homeless

An article on Weather Tough on Homless by Earl Kelly about how Annapolis homeless shelters are at capacity and the threat of the extreme cold.

FYI…Over the past few weeks, much of our current energy is focused on winter relief for the homeless, in addition to multiple people entering long term drug treatment programs and preparing to distribute toys to over 50 families for Christmas. We Care and Friends is assisting Lighthouse Shelter by providing food and blankets to homeless clients beyond those clients they currently house. Once Lighthouse Shelter is full, We Care will re-open its Winter Relief shelter at the Stanton Community Center, providing people who are homeless with food, winter clothing, connections to emotional and employment support, and a warm place to sleep.
